Friday - August 8th (all events held near the Community House)
8:30 - 2:00 pm Bus Tour Bus tour
2:00 - 5:00 pm Colby Woodsmen
& Bateau
The Colby Woodsmen’s Team enthralls us with old-time logging skill exhibitions. They are a co-ed athletic club from Colby College. (Opposite the Community House.)
1:00 - 5:30 pm WOW Trailer The Northern Forests' "Ways of the Woods" travelling trailer will be parked near the Colby exhibit area.
5:00 - 6:30 pm BBQ Dinner Outdoor BBQ next to the Colby demonstrations.
6:30 - 8:30 pm Sunset Cruise Local musicians - Bobby Harris and his band - will entertain folks on the cruise.
Saturday - August 9th (all events held at the Greenville School Field Area)
7:00 - 9:00 am Breakfast Breakfast items available at the school grounds.
9:00 am - 4:30 pm Crafts & Exhibits Stroll through the school gymnasium and enjoy a variety of exhibits, presentations, and crafters. Be on the lookout for Clum Spencer - our strolling Folklorist and Balladeer - who will once again treat us all to Maine stories and songs.
10:00 am - 3:30 pm Game of Logging All events will be held on the Greenville School grounds. “Game of Logging” - Awards ceremony will be held immediately following the completion of all events - prizes totaling $6,000.
Other events throughout the day include: Youth Programs, Log-A-Load Raffle*, Historic Films & Food/Concessions!
*Log A Load For Kids is a nationwide giving campaign, now in its 18th year, through which the forest products industry contributes to local Children's Miracle Network-affiliated hospitals and organize related fund-raising events. 100 percent of all contributions go directly to local hospitals.
