What is Log A Load for Kids -
Established in 1988, Log-A-Load for Kids is a nationwide giving program which brings the dedication and generosity of the nation's loggers and other forest products people to raising funds for local children's hospitals associated with the Children's Miracle Network (CMN). 100 percent of all contributions go directly to local hospitals.
There are active sponsoring organizations in 33 states. In 2005, the Forest Products Community contributed $3.8 million to CMN. Since 1988 they have contributed $26 million to CMN.
At each Forest Heritage Days celebration, we raffle off a chainsaw to raise our money. At FHD 2007 we raised $1200 dollars!
The first place, Husqvarna 455 Rancher chainsaw winner in 2007 was nine year-old Frankie from Mass.
The second place winner of a chainsaw carved bear was a local woman.
